It's almost the middle of July, and once the month turns over we'll be staring down the barrel of the preseason.

As of right know, what's the worst record your team could have in 2016? What's the best record they could have?

Vikings

Worst 7-9
Reason: full-on Bridgewater implosion

Best 13-3
Reasons: elite defense, improved offensive line, minimal offensive turnovers, a much improved passing game, AP being AP

What about the rest of you?

Worst case: 4-12
  • The second half of the season is a murderers row.
  • Kirk Cousins proves to be a one hit wonder as he fails to deliver despite a plethora of talent at the skill positions.
  • The run game also falls flat as the interior offensive line continues to be a glaring weakness.
  • Norman starts getting Haynesworth-esque comparisons by the bye week.

Best case: 12-4
  • Kirk continues to improve on what was a stellar year with the help of the coaching stability and scheme familiarity.
  • With a healthy Lauvao, Matt Jones finally gets his legs underneath of him and makes significant contributions on the ground.
  • The second half of the season ends up not being as bad as it looked in July and/or the NFC east opponents suffer devastating injuries once again.
  • The bevy of pass rushers provides enough disruption to mask the lack of depth and talent along the defensive line, and the rest of the defense flourishes.

Giants

Worst case: 5-10
- Cruz doesn't come back to form
- ODB gets hurt or something and we have no other good receiving options
- Defense can't get to the QB

Best Case: 11-5
- Cruz is back to form, he and ODB crush secondaries. Sterling Shepard establishes himself as a legit #3 receiver
- Additions to the defense make huge differences compared to last year. Better run D, get to the QB more often, JPP has a decent season.
- Players stay healthy

Likely: 9-7
- Good seasons from Eli, ODB, Cruz, above average Offensive Line. Maybe Pugh and Flowers take a big step forward this season.
- At least one of the starting OL has a bad year due to injuries.
- Weaknesses at RB, TE, S and LB
- Great DTs but a weak pass rush on the DE.

Worst Case: 5-11, and Eagles make playoffs

Best Case: 2-14, and the Eagles finish 3-13, Browns get the #1 and #2 pick in the draft.

Worst case: 5-11
-Stafford falls apart without Calvin. Young offensive line can't keep Stafford upright. Lack of back 7 depth hurts.

Best case: 11-5
-Stafford grows without Calvin. Abdullah produces behind an improved offensive line. Youth on defense continues to improve and group as a whole is top 10.

I think Abdullah and Zenner make a great 1-2 punch. Plus Zenner can produce on anybody with his style. He might not break off the big ones that Abdullah can but he can give you a running game when Abdullah can't get going.

I do like the way Zenner runs a lot. Hopefully he can bounce back from that injury he had last year and contribute for us. Maybe give us what we expected out of Joique Bell.

I'm a big fan of his, man. I saw him live in his last game at South Dakota State. He nearly beat NDSU by himself on the road in the playoffs. The Bison only won that game because of Wentz magic.

Stafford grows without Calvin! Thats some of the funniest shit Ive read in a while! Staffords going to fall apart without Megatron and his INTs are gonna go up.

He was also incredibly dependent on Calvin and in return forced a ton of passes that the defense knew was coming

I think the combo of Golden Tate and Marvin Jones with Ebron at the Y, Kerley in the slot, and Abdullah out of the backfield will be quite nice for Detroit's passing game. I think Stafford will take that step actually

NEW ENGLAND:

Worst-case: 0-4 + 8-4 = 8-8

I don't see this happening really, but it is remotely possible. Garoppolo could be a gigantic error and be awful in the first four games while Brady is out. Tom usually doesn't lose more than four games in a season, and in one where he'll only play 12 regular season games there is no way he gets more than four losses. Also the OL could continue to suck and would hurt our team a good bit.

Best-case (realistic): 3-1 + 11-1 = 14-2

I'm not gonna lie here, the Pats still could go undefeated. It probably won't happen, but as long as TB12 is still our quarterback I'll never say it isn't. We aren't going to beat Arizona unless Garoppolo goes nuts, but we can definitely beat Miami, Houston, and Buffalo. All three are home games and all three can easily be beaten by this Patriots team. Brady will be out, but Jimmy still gets to throw it to Gronk, Bennett, Edelman, Amendola, Dion Lewis, and Chris "Seven Eleven" Hogan. Barring injury, I cannot see any team being able to cover Gronk and Bennett and Edelman. And if they somehow do, Hogan should be pretty open. And our defense is still great. Lone weakspot is our OL, and now that Scar is back, I expect it to be adequate enough to keep Brady up. The line was good vs KC during the Divisional Game, it was just when Stork started to tip the snap that we lost it versus Denver (who barely beat us, btw)

I'm going to predict a 12-4 season, though. Two losses by Jimmy, two by Tommy. And then one for the thumb.

Went to one of the preseason games last year and Zenner was looking great and then when he got his touches in the regular season, I was hoping he'd pass up Bell but then he got hurt.

He definitely had surpassed Bell. Shit, when Abdullah couldn't do shit against Seattle they were featuring Zenner in that game, haha. His injury was nasty, though. I'm just glad he'd accomplished enough by then that his career wasn't potentially over.

Also most of the second half last season Calvin didn't do shit or wasn't playing. Stafford threw 19 tds to 2 ints in the last 8 games I think
