I took this from a prominent Giants forum:

The Giants last year were one of the most balanced teams in the NFL. 7th in the NFL in total defense, 5th in total offense.

Yet the Giants were probably the most inconsistent team in the NFL. I've never seen such a talented team ride the seesaw as much as the Giants did last season. On one hand you have a team that leads the NFL with 39 takeaways on defense and then they go back on offense and give it back 42 times to also lead the NFL. You have Eli who is 4th in the NFL with 31TD's and 5th in the NFL in yards....Yet leads the NFL with 25 INT's. Ahmad Bradshaw 9th in the NFL in rushing and 6th in YPC.....Yet is tied for second in the NFL with 7 fumbles.

For all the good things the Giants did last year, they were equally bad with somewhere else. We call it the "cancel out program" where I live.

It's amazing to me that a team can have 42 turnovers in a season and still win 10 games. The point is the Giants really beat themselves last year....MENTALLY! Their unit is extremely talented and if not for the turnovers they could have easily won the division and made a SERIOUS run"

tom coughlin is such a hardass about detail and not shooting ourselves in the foot but that's exactly what this team does year after year.

i've always supported TC but if he cant get it together with the plethora of talent we have right now, it'll be his last season no doubt.

I agree with what this article says. The thing I noticed a lot last year was that the Giants left teams in the game way too long in wins and losses. They always gave up a costly turnover when they were up which would lead to the loss.
