Both players had great years this past season. Both are power hitting first baseman with a lot of potential. Rizzo wasnt called up until June of last year so his stats look less intimidating than Goldschmidts, but he has a proven track record in the minors. Both players will be playing full time, in the heart of the order for both respective teams, and both are expected to improve upon last years numbers. If you look at both players numbers, Goldy has a much higher strikeout percentage and a higher BABIP which will be interesting to see if he can maintain it.

What I believe gives the edge to Goldy is the higher SB's for a 1B is crazy, but he did swipe 18 last year and the 43 Doubles which I believe will translate to more HR's this upcoming year. Either way both are great young options whom have 30 HR power potential and 100 RBI potential.
