Feet are bad, head and ears need to be fixed and the ball is really bad. I'd try to fix the cuts until the staff approves before adding even more bad cuts. You really need to take the cnc you get and try to improve.

For the ball try the elliptical tool, hold down shift while making it bigger or smaller, this will keep it a perfect circle. Next do it til you find a size that works for the ball then put the circle over the ball, inverse the circle then use the eraser tool to erase the surrounding background.
