imo, you had the right idea with this... but not exactly the execution. something that is very common with graphics. i think you should continue work on this because the text isn't readable, the "the finals" logo looks odd where it is and the pixels are a little much. i'm just not feeling this one, but you have the right ideas, just re-evaluate your execution.
