Mystery PED Suspension within 24 Hours

According to a Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus, there is a "semi-big" name that apparently tested positive for PED's during spring training and appealed, and apparently the appeals process has run it's course and the player is expected to be suspended for 50 games at some point today.

No idea who the guy is, one name I've heard thrown around (big name, not a semi-big name contrary to Carroll's report) is "Mark Teixeira" -- I really doubt it's Tex, but who the hell knows at this point.

I'm going to assume this was during this year, when he was hurt all year. Hopefully it wasn't before, because he looked really good in '08, and hopefully after this, he can prove he's just as good without steroids.

Tested positive during Spring Training this year and appealed it.

They say it's not steroids, but a PED similar to what Manny tested for last year.
