Multimedia Crew

There has been lots of discussions/complaints concerning the lack of effort by the Multimedia Crew in doing requests and performing in the GFX Battles in the last few months.

This is my proposal to the other admins and the board:

We will divided the Multimedia crew into 2 categories:

• Sig Crew
• GFX Crew

The Sig Crew will consist of those MM members who want to and will contribute to requests by this board. I expect minimum 1 a week. That's not too much to ask for in a 7 day stretch. They will have same privileges as before, but must maintain the request quota, and will have first choice on being part of any site tourneys. I have had some artists requesting to be a specific sport specialist - this is fine, but you still must fulfill your quota.

The GFX Crew will consist of those members who will occasionally attempt a request, but not all the time. They will contribute to the site's GFX when asked, ala tourneys and new gfx/skins. They will also help moderate the GFX section. They will be required to attempt a sig request once a month.

As of right now, everyone will be listed as GFX Crew. I would like each GFX member to respond in this thread on which they prefer. I will take in consideration and come up with the 2 teams by the end of the week. I will be adding a couple new people to the GFX Crew shortly to help alleviate some of the requests. I will also appoint a leader for each team to check up on everyone within the weeks.

I would attempt many more sigs if somebody didn't say they "got this request" and then don't do it.

What would be nice would be another group for people willing to do animated sigs. That's another problem -- people either are unwilling, or just don't have the time for animation. So I'd like a section for that...

the sig crew will attempt these, too... if they do the initial slide, the others are easier to do (just pic/color/text change)... but each slide will be like doing another sig all together (so for quota purposed, each slide will count as 1)

GFX Crew, I would love to be on the Sig Crew but school hasen't been going good right now ( getting in a lot of <Censored> lately and failing History and Geog.) So I need more time to study and get my grades back up.

I would suggest changing the rules and eliminating these large sig requests. It seems to me that nobody likes to do them cause they've got 8+ people they want on it.

Yeah but that's what everybody says. If everybody wants a 5-slide sig as their last sig ever, that's still going to be 1000's of slides, no matter how you look at it.

Here's what we do. We designate the people like Rip and MC for those stuff. They aren't part of the real GFX/Sig Crew, but they can do the animated sigs if they exceed a certain limit.

LOL but i'd be glad to do it still. BUT then the teams won't want to do the requests at all beczsue they no we would do them if they didn't.

I still haven't heard from several gfx crew members... if they do not respond by the end of the week, then that shows me that they are not active enough to be on the crew...

so, let's get these in, guys
