Im watching the game on ESPN tonight (Boston v NYY) and the Sox were putting some shifts on Cano/Tex/Pronk. Different shifts in different situations.
 
Guess this thread is to discuss different shifts you see, and how much of an advantage you get with it.
 
I'm thinking of employing more shifts in our HS baseball team next year, as it is rare to find hitters who can consistently go to the opposite field.

Papi always has a shift on him. Although, I feel as if he has done a better job going to opposite field the last couple seasons than before.
