Indians Demote Matt LaPorta

The Indians have sent Matt LaPorta to Triple-A Columbus.

LaPorta was the key player acquired in a 2008 trade with the Brewers for CC Sabathia.

He hit .167 with two RBIs in 14 games this spring.

He was in Triple A last year and wasn't expected to make the team. Not exactly huge news here. Bigger news is Chisenhall being sent down, which is a stupid move.
