i need help

first, how do i get text to have a picture in them? i.e it says pedroia and instead of being a color it has a picture inside it.

second, where are some download links for la and all those plugins? ive been looking and i cant find them

After you've created the text, place the picture layer over the text, now go to the layer and right click, and press "create clipping mask".

that should be it.
