The Mets are unlikely to sign free-agent reliever Jonathan Broxton.

"I don't think it will be New York for him," Broxton's agent told The New York Post.

It would be nice to get a guy like Broxton for the closers role. We really need a decent closer for next year, maybe Heath Bell is a possibility.
