So I was thinking of this season and what players I feel are going to make a significant impact more than usual. Post any others you guys think.
1. Carlos Santana- He's already one of the top catchers in the American League. He walks a ton, his BABIP was only .262 so that will definitely go up and raise his batting average. His 13 home runs post all-star break and 46 RBI's translated to a full year look very promising. He also raised his batting average 60 points in the 2nd half. He also has 25 homer potential which I feel he will reach this upcoming year.
2. Greg Holland- RP for the Royals, has a K/9 of 12.22 last year. He throws a mid 90s fastball that can touch 99mph, but he has a great slider with sharp breaking action, he also adds in a splitter here and there. I think he will solve his command issues this year and be a 30+ saves player this year. Holland will be the prominent closer in KC this year.
3. Matt Moore- Moore is a lefty who has top of the rotation stuff for the Rays. He throws a two seamer and four seamer, both in the mid 90s. He has a sharp breaking ball and throws a straight changeup as well. He regressed late last year due to arm fatigue I believe. He had many short outings last year and I think it was because of him trying to adapt to the AL East, this 2nd year will ease the tension and pressure. I think this year is his breakthrough.
