Blue Jays claimed LHP Aaron Laffey off waivers from the Mets.

 
Another day, another waiver claim by Alex Anthopoulos. Laffey was designated for assignment by the Mets over the weekend after he posted a 7.20 ERA over 10 innings of work. The 28-year-old posted a 4.56 ERA over 100 2/3 innings with the Jays last season and will presumably pitch in long relief.

I saw him pitch with the Mets and was surprised when the Jays picked him up. I think he belongs in a reliver postion as opposed to a starter
