The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim don't want to relive the 2010 season that left the team in third place in the American League West, 15 games out of first, at seasons' end.
Part of the team's strategy this offseason, it appears, is to go after the players from the American League East division-winning Tampa Bay Rays. AOL FanHouse reports that the Angels are interested in adding both the big bat of outfielder Carl Crawford and the strong arm of closer Rafael Soriano. The Los Angeles Times has it that the team may have enough cash to sign both free agents.
Soriano led the American League with 45 saves last year and had an ERA of 1.73.
