Angels Frontrunners for Beltre

The Angels are now the front-runners to sign third baseman Adrian Beltre, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

The Athletics, who made multiple offers to Beltre, pulled their offers this week in order to pursue other players.

The Rangers remain interested in Beltre, but they are uncomfortable with his price tag.

As time passes by that price tag will continue to fall. There arent much teams that are going to pay what he is looking for so his demands will obviously fall and rightly so. His best 2 years have been years when he has needed a nice paycheck and thats not a good sign for me. He has an excellent glove, but his hitting can be very spotty at times.

Last year he did come on strong with his bat, but like you said his value will continue to fall. I still see him going to the Rangers.

yeah I think the Rangers are still a good possibility, especially if the Rangers are still thinking of moving Michael Young.

Surprised he hasn't been signed yet, given the amount of money thrown around to other players 3 weeks ago.
