We will be starting our 5th annual SI player rankings.  Last year we only go to the SF position, but I'm quite determined to get the rankings completely finished this year.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around. Nola and I will be guys running the polls in order to try to get this done this time around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

Where does Derrick Favors come in? Feel like that's an under appreciated guy who has quietly turned into a really good NBA player.

My bad I forgot to do it this morning haha.

Favors is good but he won't crack the top 10. Too deep of a field

You're good

and I think Favors could crack the top 10 if he was on a more notable team.

After looking at it, I actually think he should be #10. There will be two guys that are considered in this poll and next that he is better than.

Serge, Dirk, Draymond and Z-Bo would probably all be voted in before him

At the same time his lack of a team contributes to his numbers

His defense makes the Thunder even relevant

I think he's a solid defender, not a DPOY sort of guy like people think he is, but there are better individual players left.

I would say that Draymond is more overrated than Ibaka at this point.

I don't think that's the case. Draymond does so much offensively and is a great defender.

Ibaka, great in his own right, is made out better than he is because of what the Thunder have done on the perimeter. I've talked about it at length before, what the Thunder do (or did) on the perimeter with their length, athleticism, and just raw defensive ability is the real catalyst in that Thunder D. It allows Ibaka to do what he does.

But is he a good rebounder? Nah. Is he a good post defender? Not really. Is he a good PnR defender? He's alright. He's a weakside shot blocker and someone who plays vertical at the rim...and takes 200 threes on offense.

I like Ibaka, but he's not the guy I'd pick.

Draymond Green's true position is SF. I'm going with Serge Ibaka. Great mid-range shooter, amazing shot-blocker... I'd go with Randolph but his defense is meh.
