At least the Wolves are just starting over. Might as well fire Ryan Saunders while they're at it, too. For this team to fail as spectacularly as they did with so much talent, it's clear he's not Head Coach material. Nepotism almost always backfires.
This Toronto team. If they stay healthy, they'll have something to say about the East. Do they have the superstar power to win it? Probably not, but they're well constructed, brilliantly coached, and they'll play defense from the first second to the last.
Are the Raptors a team with an obvious ceiling, or are Siakam, Vanvleet, Anunoby developing at a good enough pace to potentially make some noise come playoff time?
NBA officials: call a technical for flopping from 30 feet away on a clear none flop.
Seriously, if you don't even know what is and isn't a flop, don't even try to make that call
I didn't see that thread when I checked. My bad, guys.
Anyway, I think we should shoot for more NBA activity this year now that the league is more varied and we don't already know what's going to happen. What do the rest of you say?
Reactions from Night 1, 10/22:
Is Fred Vanvleet a potential star in this league? I don't want to overreact to one game by any stretch, but since the ECF last year, he's playing at a completely different level. He's likely too small to find ways to score high totals when his 3s aren't falling...
