      No way do the Yankees take the East. Even if all their guys stay healthy and their old players don't show their age, it's going to take a lot for them to win the East. I've got the Sox winning it

      Yup, they always do. Their farm system seems to be becoming barren though, and their depth has always been a huge reason for their success, so we'll have to see how that plays out.

      That's a legitimate concern. I think the Orioles offense and pitching has improved enough that Hunter will hopefully not have to be overused like Jim Johnson was forced to be for two years. Johnson caught a ton of flack for last season, but he saved our butts a lot more often than he blew it...

    Orioles Sign Johan Santana To Minor League Deal

    Probably won't be in the rotation. Orioles apparently see him as more of a reliever. Though I imagine they will at least try him as a starter in the minors. Though he did only throw 81 MPH at his workout, scouts raved about his changeup and he's still building up arm strength.

    Orioles Sign Johan Santana To Minor League Deal

    I'm intrigued by this signing. If he has anything left in the tank (I realize that's a pretty big if), could definitely contribute for the Orioles in 2014. Still building arm strength, but if he can throw at least in the upper 80's, wouldn't be surprised at all to see him get some starts.
