Right now, the Yankees, Twins and Astros hold division leads in the AL with Cleveland and Oakland holding the wild cards. Tampa is a game back of the 2nd wild card and Boston is 5 out.
In the NL, Atlanta, St Louis and The Dodgers hold the division leads with Washington and Chicago in the wild card spots. The Phillies are 2 back, Milwaukee is 3.5 back, the Mets are 4 back and the D'Backs are 4.5 back.
Who is going to go to the playoffs?

Mets screwed the pooch the last 5 games. They got an absolute GIFT after being embarrassed by the Braves this weekend and not losing much ground in the Wild Card. Cubs came to town and have beat the shit out of us so far. We have to win today or we're practically out. I don't think NY has much of a chance anymore even if they win today, but at least being 3 back gives them a slim chance.

Tampa is intriguing in the AL Wild Card, I'm curious to see how that plays out. Also I think Cleveland is going to somehow pull back and take the AL Central. Otherwise most of the other divisions are a lock aside from the NL Central as well.

With the Indians' team decimated by injuries, the Twins have maintained their lead in the AL Central. I expected the Twins to win 85 or so games, but I expected the Indians to be among the elite teams with 95+ wins this season. They could still win 95, but I don't expect them to catch the Twins. The Twins don't play another team with a .500+ record the rest of the year, so they could easily go 9-6 and win 100 games this year. The Indians finish the season in Washington ajd have 3 games with the Phillies in Cleveland next week. They have a very tough row to hoe for the rest of the season.

NL Central race should be really good. Cubs/Cardinals play each other 7 times yet while Brewers chances come down to today’s game imo

3 back is still very manageable but could be 5 if the Cards beat them today.

After today: Brewers face SD, PIT, CIN, COL while Cards have 10 games vs WSH/CHC

This wild card race is gonna get interesting if the Mets pull off another win tonight and maybe move another game closer.

Friday night hurt, bad. If we lose tonight I think it's over - won't be able to recover 4 games in 2 weeks, not with this bullpen.

Aaand Mets are probably done. They would need a miracle at this point.
