I agree 100% with him. Everybody brings up Brady as if the exception disproves the rule. To be a successful, longterm QB you need to be drafted in the first or second round (with the rare exceptions like Wilson, Foles, and Brady). "Developmental" QBs just do not seem to ever pan out...
First off, amazing avatar + sig combo (and name of course).
Secondly, I've always liked PFF's stuff but I never did realize he did interviews with them. That actually explains a lot, because I've always wondered if Mathis was really as good as they make him out to be...
Mayock is definitely my favorite draft analyst, I also really like him because he does a lot of the Vikings preseason games for the local station and he always talks a lot about the drafted and undrafted rookies on both sides.
I've seen comparisons before about just how "accurate" most draft...
Good points all around. I guess I'm biased cause I've been a fan of his. I don't think the speed difference is quite as big as it looks on paper (between Edelman and Lynch, that is), but I do agree that Edelman (and Denard Robinson) are much better with agility/elusiveness. I suppose only time...
He worked at both runningback and safety if I recall correctly.
True, but rushing for nearly 2,000 yards takes at least a little bit of talent as a runningback. I realize he doesn't have great speed for the position but he's not big enough to be a fullback and has never played defense. If NFL...

It's an interesting idea. I'm not really sure where I stand on it though. I do think it would be nice for every conference to have a championship game, but I think the current system helps ensure that teams are playing each other in their division, which helps keep conference winner ties...
Eh, I guess. I don't know how a guy rushes for 1900 yards, 23 TDs with 6.6 YPC and still be "too slow". Granted, it was against MAC competition, but I still think he deserves a shot, even if it's mostly as a wildcat runner.
Just look at what Greg Jennings did last year for the Vikings with nobody at QB:
68 catches, 804 yards, 4 TDs
Decker should expect roughly the same numbers...
Is Jordan Lynch another Tebow or does he have a future in the NFL? He's at least willing to learn a different position. I could see him having success at RB, it seems most teams don't even want to give him a look at QB though.
I honestly don't know why Abbrederis isn't rated higher. He's got good speed and plays well against top competition. I agree that he's gonna be a steal wherever he ends up.
