The media affects everything. Many fans, players, player's families, etc have complained about the many dangers of football, and there have been tests conducted on it. In order to make the fans happy, they had to make some safety changes. As for extending the season, they want more money.

Finally, lol. He was never going to play anyway. In the beginning there was a chance, but once they were officially out of the playoffs, they should have just done it then. Kitna has been doing pretty well, so he'll be fine to finish out the season.
