Yankees Sign 1B Ike Davis

Ike wasn't very good with Triple-A Round Rock but the Yanks will pay him minor league money to platoon at 1B with Refsnyder, while Teixeira is on the DL.
 
What I can figure out is why Swisher hasn't been brought up yet. 13 players have been called up to the Bronx since Swisher was assigned to Triple-A Scranton. I know Swish still strikes out a lot but shit, its not like Ike Davis is a whole hell of a lot better an option.

Swisher should've been the one instead of Davis. But you never know, Like could come out of nowhere and rake.

The Yankees have tried to piece together their 1B position since they lost Bird for the season.  Parmelee did a nice job for them, but blew out his hammy.  Tex could be done.  Their current rotation could be OK. 
This will be a long summer in the Bronx with no playoffs at the end.
