Effective Monday, August 24th, the "Summer Crew" Moderator team will be done. All Moderator positions will be vacated and an announcement for Fall elections will be up shortly.
On behalf of the Administrative Team at SI, I want to thank the "Summer Crew" for a job well done. I have said it before and I will say it again, being a Moderator at SI is no easy task and not any & everyone can do it. Those who were in place all Summer, (and some even longer), have long stood out amongst their peers and defined themselves a 'leaders' at Sportz Insomnia.
As I said above, Fall elections will begin as soon as the announcement is made. I will, however, say that the election process for this Fall is going to be way more in depth and carefully looked over than in season's past. Not only will we feature the typical nominations and campaigning as before but each candidate will be expected to answer a survey administered by the Administrative Staff. The Fall selection process may be as tough as cracking the BCS...but it will, hands-down, get the right people into positions.
Start jotting down a short list of candidates for each position people. A good idea would be to analyze each section and see who's really been stepping up and generating activity around here. -AE
