Free agent Reggie Wayne told CBS 4 Indianapolis that he plans to retire.
"Yeah, I’m done," said Wayne. "It was fun, but it’s time. Whenever you can admit that you’re done, you know you’re done." Wayne went unsigned following the 2014 season until September, when he flopped in a two-week preseason stint with the Patriots. Wayne, 37, wound up playing 14 seasons and earning six Pro Bowl berths. Wayne changed his game over the course of his career, beginning as a deep-threat complement to Marvin Harrison before playing a possession-type slot receiver role in his later years. Wayne will retire seventh in the all-time record books in receptions (1,070) and eighth in receiving yards (14,345). Wayne figures to be a fringe Hall of Famer but a lock for the Colts' Ring of Honor.
