Fresh off a dominating win over Brandon Vera at UFC 125, light heavyweight Thiago Silva (15-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) next will fight former champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (31-8 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in a UFC 130 bout expected to have a major impact on the title picture.

Sources close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) verbal agreements are in place for the fight.

A heavyweight bout between former champ Frank Mir (14-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) and fellow contender Roy Nelson (15-5 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is in the works for a planned Memorial Day weekend event expected to be UFC 130.

A source close to the negotiations told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) verbal agreements are in place for the heavyweight tilt.

An additional source said the contract issues that forced Nelson out of an early-year event aren't expected to be an issue.

2 very, very interesting bouts on that main card. Thiago looked more like we expect him too against Vera, while Rampage looked re-focused and re-energized in his win over Machida. As for Nelson vs. Mir, how great would this fight be if it goes to the ground? We have yet to see Big Country display his BJJ in the UFC and I seriously doubt Mir has much intention of standing up with him. If we see the Frank Mir that completely dominated Big Nog, then this will be an amazing slugfest. If not, well, we may be seeing the last of Frank Mir in the UFC.
