Niners C Eric Heitmann will miss 6-8 weeks

49ers C Eric Heitmann is out 6-8 weeks after fracturing his left fibula in training camp practice Monday.
In a best case scenario, he'll be back for Week 2 against the Saints (exactly six weeks from Monday), though that's probably a long shot. Heitmann, 30, has missed just two starts in the last six seasons and is easily the most reliable member of an interior line that will start rookie Mike Iupati at left guard and inconsistent Chilo Rachal on the right side.
