Mystery teams have claimed Minnesota sluggers Jim Thome and Jason Kubel on waivers.

Thome is hitting .253 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI in limited playing time this season.

Meanwhile, Kubel is hitting .290 with nine home runs and 45 RBI in 90 games this season.

Thome was claimed by the White Sux.

If the White Sox wanted to claim one, my guess would be Kubel since they can use him in the outfield (although he's not a good defensive player). They already have a left handed DH and even after posting it in the MLB thread, I doubt the White Sox are going to try and block the Indians by claiming Thome. If the Twins decide not to pull Thome back, then the White Sox would be stuck with him.
