I like this. Seems very reasonable.

Not sure the Vikes would let Bowers slip past them. OL is obviously more of a need than DL is for them, but I just don't see how you could pass up Jared Allen and Bowers on the ends with the better half of the Williams wall in between them.

Yeah Bowers slipping down so far was the only thing that stood out to me.

If Bowers slipped to us, I would probably jizz my pants.

Bowers has failed two physicals.. The health concerns for him just continue to rack up, and really, it's not going to help his Draft stock at all. Don't be surprised to see him slip, and it's pretty clear in my mind he will... when everyone is talking about Nick Fairley, watch for Bowers.

Tyron Smith is a talent. He's gonna be great at RT for the Vikings, and he'll eventually move over to LT, when he is called upon to do so.

Bowers won't though.
He was supposed to be the first pick, what, a month ago?

He won't get passed Tennessee IMO.

I like the Falcons taking Torrey Smith. That good give them a real good option in the air, and open up Roddy.

He was never supposed to be a first overall selection.. A lot of people were saying that, but he isn't justified that high. He's a one year wonder completely, an athletic freak who gets by on his athletic ability alone, and look at the injury concerns..

If I am picking in the top ten, I would be very hesitant to touch his talents at this point.

The Titans are still waiting on the Georgia Tech product in Derrick Morgan to develop. You guys don't really know what you got in him yet.

If you're going on that logic, why is Fairley at 6?
One year wonder, dominant, but size and character are issues.

If that's the logic, Fairley is much more likely to fall out of the top 10 than Bowers IMO.

Not true. Nobody is doubting Fairley entirely on his size, it's basically character issues holding him back.

The injury concerns with Bowers are much more of a scare compared to some character concerns with Fairley. Unfortunately, injuries can't always be corrected much like an attitude can.

I would be much more scared about character. Many more careers have been ruined on character than injuries.
But from what I've read, size is a major problem. That was part of the beginning of Dareus moving ahead of him.

He can put on weight, if the team drafting him really needs it. I wouldn't say many more careers have been ruined on character issues... A lot of times attitudes are fixable, and injuries are not. That's the big difference in my eyes man.

Dareus moving ahead of him was the Combine. Everyone fell in love with the fact he was bigger, faster, etc. than Nick Fairley, and then started sliding him up the boards. He appears to be a lock at Denver, though.

Get on AIM you t00l.

I think the Browns like Bowers more then Fairley anyway to be honest.. We already have a good DT, but we have no DEs, which adds to the likelihood of us taking him over Fairley.

Mooche, it's probably about equal for character/injuries, but from my view, which is the Titans view, I'd be wary of character.
We've had Pacman Jones, Vince Young, Albert Haynesworth, Lendale White, etc.
So I'm probably being a little biased lol.

That makes sense. I am just going from a general over view, it's out of the box, and I am OK with that selection. :)
