Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has told people close to him he plans to retire, according to league sources.

As unpredictable as some of these decisions can be for many players, it is even more so for the ultra-unpredictable Lynch. But as of now, despite the fact that his teammates still are attempting to change his mind, Lynch's plan is to walk away from the game, something that he has shared with some in the Seahawks' organization.

Well, there were rumors all season that Lynch might call it quits.

This is going to become the new norm for RBs and WRs, and that's fine by me. Make your money, get out while you can still avoid permanent injuries.

That's a dope ass way to announce your retirement.  I hope he doesn't say another word to anyone about it.  Just ride off into the sunset.

I cannot stand the Seahawks, but never really had a problem with Lynch.  The dude was a stud and there is no denying that.  Glad he is able to go out on his terms and seems content with hanging them up.  But.... I wonder if he will get fined for that Tweet :p
