The fact that Andrea Bargnani is only 12 speaks to how bad some #1 picks have been, fwiw I wouldn't have Oden that low if only because he really really made sense at the time and just had lots of injury issues which is different than selecting somebody who just isn't that good (Bennett/Kwame)

To be fair to Bennett the pick made zero sense. You could argue a handful of guys could have went 1st that year, and he wasn't one of them.
