Mathematician and ESPN analyst Curt Schilling took to social media on Tuesday to share a meme about Muslims and Nazis.
It does not appear that Schilling made the image himself, though he points out, helpfully, "The math is staggering when you get to true #'s."
Somehow, this logic failed to convince a person who has a Confederate flag as their Twitter avatar.

Within 10 minutes, the Twitter post had been deleted, almost as if Schilling were capable of feeling remorse.
He is not, however. The companion Facebook post -- which indicates that the photo may have originated with a group that calls itself "BREAK UP the IRS" and probably has a lot of other good ideas -- remained on his page, where he has long demonstrated a penchant for such images, for several hours.
ESPN has since released a statement condemning the tweet and announcing that Schilling has been removed from his current assignment covering the Little League World Series.
"Curt's tweet was completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective. We made that point very strongly to Curt and have removed him from his current Little League assignment pending further consideration."
I know this is a topic from yesterday but it should be posted. What an idiot...
It's really amazing how many people screw up their careers because of social media. Sometimes people need to learn how to keep their mouths shut.
