I know this is old news, but I was wondering how you guys felt...

In case you don't know, DePodesta was a central figure in the "Moneyball" A's teams and is whom Peter Brand was based off in the Moneyball movie. According to the article, he "will be above newly hired executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown in the organizational hierarchy and will report to owner Jimmy Haslam..."
Apparently he is going to bring the Moneyball use of statistics to the NFL in some capacity. I think that it has a decent chance of working, but it's not going to be as effective as whatever Bill Belichick does in New England.
