It is time to vote for the top 5 players at every position. Alot has changed in the last season so this should make for great discussion. Please try and vote for the best player and don't be a homer! I'll leave the polls open for about a day or so and after that we'll carry on to the #3 PG and so on. I will more than likely add more players as we go since you can only add 20 at a time.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

2011 TOP 10 SG RANKINGS
1) Dwyane Wade
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Joe Johnson
4) Monta Ellis
5)

2011 TOP 10 PG RANKINGS
1) Chris Paul
2) Deron Williams
3) Derrick Rose
4) Rajon Rondo
5) Steve Nash

Honestly I'd take Kevin Martin over Ellis.

That would be a close call for me. I read you opinion on Monta in the other thread and I agree 100% though, I think people are blinded by his scoring numbers.

Manu.

But if you need a basket at the end of the game, IMO you go Ray (homer influence). Dude doesnt miss.

Went with EG

Manu has regressed these last few years IMO

It was mainly in the air for me between Reke and EG but after this year (whenever/if it starts) Evans will be in the top 3

I like Gordon, but I don't think he's a top 5 SG.

He's another undersized offensive minded guard. He doesn't do much else besides score. He doesn't get others involved, he's a poor decision maker, and he isn't long enough to contest shots.

7th among all SGs in APG. If he doesn't get his teammates involved, neither do any SGs.

whats assist rate?

APG sounds like a much more reliable stat, straight to the point.

Assist rate takes into consideration a players posessions and the percentage of those posessions that ends in an assist.

Meaning, common sense says a player with more possessions than another player will likely get more assists. Only one SG played more minutes per game than Gordon and that's Ellis.

Then again though, wouldn't you rather have Gordon scoring instead of passing it off to likes of DeAndre Jordan and Jamario Moon?

i like manu for his size. but eg will really be better this coming season. lol. i should have voted for eg to be honest. oh well.

as for monta being number four, his scoring makes up for defense. dude can get it done, and would on any team.
