It is time to vote for the top 10 players in the NBA. Alot has changed in the last season so this should make for great discussion. Please try and vote for the best player and don't be a homer! I'll leave the polls open for about a day or so and after that we'll carry on to the #2 player and so on. I will more than likely add more players as we go since you can only add 20 at a time.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

Went with Kobe, he's as good as anyone on the perimeter defensively and is obviously no slouch offensively.

Just out of curiosity, why do so many people like Durant as the fourth best player in the game?

Well he lead the league in scoring the last two years, for starters.

And Kobe was 4th and 5th in scoring those seasons and is a MUCH better defender. Offense is only one half of the game (if that). Lets also not ignore that Kobe is a much better passer and has a much higher AST/TO ratio, 2/1. And inch for inch, may be a better rebounder than KD also.

If I'm building a franchise, I'm taking Durant easily, for obvious reasons. But as overall player, it's Kobe for right now. More rounded player.

Kobe is becoming underrated in a way.

He's #3 in my mind, not Dwyane Wade

Its time to close this, its clear that Durant is the 4th best player in the league based on the votes.

Exactly what I'm saying. If you break the game down into categories, the only one Durant may have him in is shooting the ball. Kobe is better than Durant at everything else. People put too much focus on offense, it's why people think Rose is the best PG in the NBA and Al Jefferson is the third best C in the NBA, which is laughable.

To be fair though, Rose is and will get better on defense. Just last season he improved greatly on that end. Jefferson is a lost cause though, you have to have the want to play D and he could careless.
