We will be starting our 3rd annual SI player rankings. The first year we did this it sparked great debate, I'm hoping to get back to that this year. Unfortunately last year I did not finish the rankings for whatever reason, but this year we need to all make it a goal to finish them. We'll be going 10 deep this year.
Remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer. I will leave the polls open at my own discretion. Most will be open 24 hours, but if there is one where it's a clear runaway then there is no point in delaying the voting.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.

Tough choice for me, but it came down to Monroe and Jefferson for me. Went with Jefferson.

Not all that enamored with Hibbert.

i wanted to go with gmoe too but decided to go with a guy who has a more well rounded offense, as of now thats hibbert. gmoe could have had the all star spot hibbert has had if detroit was better, imo

I don't think Roy Hibbert is all that well rounded to be honest. He's nice rolling to the basket, and he's got a somewhat decent post game. He doesn't give them much in the way of passing and isn't much of a factor outside the restricted area. He actually does have a solid midrange shot, but he rarely used it last season.

I said it back then, but I think he's been overrated because of the Miami series. He averaged 22 pts, 10 rbs, and 1 blk in that series, but we already knew Miami struggled with size. I said back then if Indiana had advanced I think he would have had a more realistic series that is closer to his actual skill level.

He's an excellent defensive player, but his mobility and lack of defensive rebounding worries me. I think he benefits from having George Hill and Paul George as teammtes as much as they benefit from having him. I'd probably put him at #8, maybe even ahead of Monroe now that I think about it.

Jefferson made huge strides defensively last season, and he's always been a really skilled offensive player, that's why I went with him.

Went with Greg. Been one to say for years now that I'd prefer Greg to Roy. And I like Roy, always have.
