Brayden Schenn, a candidate to replace Hartnell on the Flyers' top line next season, had a new two-year, $5 million contract.
Schenn’s new deal is a good one for the Flyers, who locked up a restricted free agent coming off a career-best 20-goal, 41-point season at a good price with his cap hit at a very reasonable $2.5 million.
Hextall said both sides preferred this deal be just two seasons.
