The NFL pre-free agency posturing got more interesting with a little wrinkle out of Nashville, Tenn.

According to a report in the Tennessean this week, talks between defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and the Titans nearly are at a standstill. Agent Tony Agnone said he did little more than exchange pleasantries with general manager Mike Reinfeldt on Wednesday.

"It's not the start of anything, I'm sorry," Agnone told the paper. "We talked. It's no big deal, no story. We simply said hello, how are you? And he told us they liked Kyle. I do, too. But that's it."

Vanden Bosch, a three-time Pro Bowler, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent March 5. The Lions, or any other team, can't pursue Vanden Bosch until then. Lions coach Jim Schwartz used to be the Titans' defensive coordinator, and the Lions need help at defensive end.
Nothing significant, but Schwartz did coach him. Lions fans are drooling at the thought of it lol.

I can't wait 'till Free Agency officially begins.
Wanna see where T.O ends up aswell, hopefully with a contender so he has a chance at a ring.

I wonder who'll run the fastest 40 and suddenly be a first rounder..
Well, whoever that is will sky rocket on Al Davis' board and will be going 8th overall. Haha.

Rams and Bucs talking trade?

Chris Steuber of Scout.com reports the Bucs and Rams have has exploratory discussions on a deal that would send the No. 3 overall pick, a third-round pick, and QB Josh Johnson to St. Louis for the first overall selection.

Rams officials compare Johnson favorably to Vick athletically, but they feel that he has a greater upside as a passer.

A 2008 fifth round pick out of the University of San Diego, Johnson was known for his accuracy and athleticism while in college, and last year with the Buccaneers he showed promise during a four-game stretch where he was the starting quarterback
----

I just laughed so hard. Probably one of the most assenstein attempts to get the first overall pick, ever. Josh Johnson is nothing at this point in his career, I still like the guy, but a 3rd rounder and him? Not even realistic in my opinion.

That would be a epic fail for the Rams if they took that.

#3 overall, 3rd rounder, and Johnson..
The Rams would be idiots not to take that.

I don't know about that. They only way it would make sense, is if the Rams are really looking hard at Clausen or Bradford. Seeing how Tampa and Detroit would not select a QB, one could essentially fall right into their laps. But then why would they try for Josh Johnson? Maybe some depth, no idea.

I'm guessing they would draft a QB, then use Johnson as depth or maybe in the wildcat.

I have always liked Johnson, I said that earlier. He is super athletic and may run a system like that - however, if they aren't planning on doing this scenario like I said, this trade would make zero sense for the Rams.

Well yeah..

However, when your a team as bad as the Rams or Lions, you look for as much depth as you can. That 3rd rounder looks beautiful to a guy like me. Just as it probably does for the Rams.

Maybe after getting Johnson they could draft a defensive player. Who knows lol.
I think if they don't make the deal they will be fine, and if they do, they'll still be in good shape.

I completely understand where you are coming from, they need help in a lot of places. That's why it's a super tough situation, whether or not to pick Suh. Suh is easily the best player in this draft - but they have nobody at the QB position. What's the more appealing pick? Right or wrong, they are going to be looking hard on Bradford (shoulder included) and Clausen.

Right, exactly. I guess if they really wanted a QB they could easily get a QB in the 3rd round.
But if not you have Johnson, and I heard they like Vick,
