I loved SGA at Kentucky. Didnt come in with all the hype of their usual big recruits and really performed

I only caught on to him after they got going but doesn't seem like we're really considering him.. but we'll see I'm always wrong with our draft

I read that sentence, and knew only BNC would think to post something that idiotic here
So what exactly would be wrong with it? Teams would have to be better at their jobs when scouting rookies? Is that really a bad thing? All I’ve seen is that it’s a bad idea and no one provides a good reason why it’s a bad idea. It would completely eliminate tanking

Its a bad idea because it turns into the same teams getting the same top prospects, ala what Calipari does/did at Kentucky

Why would any top prospect sign with Orlando when they can be a Laker?

You just gave an answer a couple posts ago when you explained why Mo Bamba might not wanna come off the bench behind Gasol.

I don't think it's a terrible idea, it's not like all the attractive cities have infite cap space to spend on rookies. In theory better teams have higher payrolls and can't afford the top rookies.

But the whole league would have a real awkward adjustment period.
