Lance Berkman will have season-ending knee surgery on Tuesday.
He had surgery on his right knee in May as well. Berkman has been limited to just 80 at-bats this season. He was hitting .263 with two homers and seven RBIs.
The surgery will remove the meniscus from Berkman's knee.
The latest procedure puts the slugger's career in jeopardy.
