I think he's a center too but you don't have to be a dick about it dude.

If telling the truth makes me a dick then so be it

It's funny because last year he said something like "Terence Ross started X amount of games for the raptors last year, and when he did it was at SG. So naturally that means Derozan started at SF during those games" but then when I brought up starts for Duncan he immediately refuted it as lazy haha

Terrence Ross started 62 games for the Raptors last season, and he did so at shooting guard. Common sense says DeMar DeRozan slid over to SF when this happened. As a result, DeRozan will be among the SF's. Didn't look at a single stat when I decided that.

And I actually did the research after that and admitted to you I was wrong. It's one of the reasons I don't spout off about things I know nothing about anymore and try to encourage the posters here to do the same, but it falls on deaf ears.

But thanks for confirming my point, goes directly back to the "good intelligent man" thing we've talked about in this post.

For the record, I thought about what you said whenever it was about another example of a "center" getting drafted next to another center:

Hakeem Olajuwon played with Ralph Sampson at the beginning of his career (the Twin Towers) and I highly doubt either one was considered a power forward at any point during or after that

So I analyzed a good portion of the lineup's Duncan's played in since 02-03, and came to the conclusion that he's played ~49.14% of his minutes since 2003 at PF, and ~50.86% at center.

More recently, in the past five seasons, he's played ~49.90% of his minutes at PF, and 50.10% of his minutes at center.

This number isn't exact as I only had access to the top 20 most played lineups for each Spurs team since 03. It ended up equating to only analyzing about 60% of his total minutes played. I included upper and lower bounds for the best and worst case scenario. Here's the excel spreadsheet:

I've got an idea--why don't we just have a top stretch bigs list and a top 10 traditional bigs list? Get rid of the PF and Center positional titles.

because the list for 10 "stretch bigs" would be terrible after the first five probably
