I agree with most of that. I think if Lester repeats last season in 2017 and 2018 he has a good shot. Sale has a lot more to prove imo and Price needs to show to be at least average in the playoffs. I also want to see a few more good years from Goldy.

The only Red Sox I think you can say has a legitimate shot at this point is Pedroia.

He's definitely not a 1st ballot guy but he could eventually get in

I think same should apply to Donaldson. I get that he's a late bloomer. so the fact that the lack of longevity will hurt him. If he has like two more 5.5 win seasons, and above average production after that, I think he has a good shot of getting in.

I thought about Pedroia.  I don't think he gets enough numbers to get in.  But I think he's worth talking about.

I think guys like Sale, Price, Lester, King Felix all have better cases going forward.

I think Josh needs five more elite years to get him headed in the conversation.

I'm bias since I appreciate defense so much, so I'd have him in. He fought it out with Posey as the best catch of this generation.

While his defense is elite, his hitting is very very average.  He's clearly out for me.
How so? He's had six seasons of wrc+ over 100. That's really good especially for a catcher.

The HOF voters don't give a fuck about advanced metrics

Ok, if that's the case, he's hit .300 on several occasions.

I mean they care way more about milestones. 3000 hits, 500 homers, etc.

He is an eight time gold glover, and made 7 all star games. I think he should get at least consideration for hof.

Was about to say, obviously the benchmark for a catcher is a little different.
