Gonna be interesting to see how he gets at bats

They have a pretty solidified outfield. Upton, trout and calhoun

Pujols is a dh

Smh. But at least its not the giants or padres.

He couldnt say no to mike trout. Cant blame him

Honestly thought he was Seattle bound.

The Angels need pitching bad, so they better hope he pans out on the mound.

I think he fits better as a pitcher than as a hitter.  He fits the team really well.

it'll be interesting to see how he turns out. Mexi makes a good point on where does he fit? But I guess he can be a utility guy? Give an OF a rest or DH for Pujols every now and then. I dont think he grabs more than 200 AB's or so, so I'm sure he will find a spot somewhere

The next big thing is what will happen with his actual contract...How long do the Angels wait to give him the big bucks I am sure they (illegally) promised him

The Angels are the one team that i can see creeping up and being relevant in the division on any given year.  Sure, they clearly lack pitching, but they've got a pretty big payroll and it's usually injuries that plague them rather than lack of talent.

If Ohtani is the real deal, just think of him in a lineup with Trout and Pujols.  That's unreal. I'm not sold he's that good of a hitter just yet though.

Let's also not forget that unlike most other postseasons, 2017 was won by offense in almost every round, not by good pitching.

I first read this story like, "WTF?"  Reality is teams knew this before the bidding/presentation process. There's a worst-case scenario that would see him undergo TJ surgery, if it gets worse or persists, next season.
