I fucking hope he knocks Floyd out. Would be a top 5 sports moment of all time.

I don't watch boxing or MMA but I'll be watching this sonewhere.

Floyd losing his 0 to an amateur would kill boxing.

I hope it happens.

I will be glad to see either of them lose.

But damn, August 26th? Don't boxing matches take forever to set up? I was expecting this for next year or something.

Ah okay

This is gonna be huge not just for the two of them, but it is essentially boxing VS mma. Whoever wins will win it for their entire sport.

That idea would nice and dandy, if it wasn't held in one of those disciplines.

McGregor might not touch Floyd a single time

The fact that this fight is even happening is a loss for boxing.

Since this is a boxing match Floyd is going to win this easily.  No chance that's what Connor's got.  No Chance in Hell.

It's a huge risk. If Floyd wins it'll reinforce boxing's legitimacy, but if he loses it'll be devastating. If he wins it wouldn't nearly make as much of an impact as him losing.

How?  You have arguably the greatest p4p boxer of all time fighting a guy with literally zero professional bouts under his belt.

It'll show that not just any fighter can beat a boxer. Of course, we're talking about one of the best boxers of all time so maybe it wouldn't make as much of a statement as it would if Conor lost to an average boxer. But at least it'll hush some people who like to think MMA fighters are so much better than boxers. It'll remind people that boxing isn't as simple as it looks. But Floyd losing would prove all those people right. It would make boxing look so outdated.

I agree, MMA fighters are probably not better at boxing than actual boxers. But boxers also would get destroyed in an MMA bout by actual MMA fighters.

Right, everyone would agree that Floyd would perhaps be literally murdered if he tried to fight Conor in MMA. But the question isn't if boxers can do MMA, it's whether or not MMA guys can do boxing. And if they can then boxing will look like the WNBA of combat sports.
