And we'll see.  We're actually back in that stockpile stage of the Marlins "cycle" we all know and "love".  I'm thinking we're in the retention stage once it's time to lock up Jose.   We'll trade him after that 3rd trophy.

I would agree.  I predicted a strong finish to this season before the All Star break and like I said above, I expect to go into a retention phase for a while.  What we tried to do with Ozzie didn't work at all so we blew it up.  I really didn't have a problem with that major trade as I wasn't a fan of spending all that money on Reyes and Buerhle........and low & behold the current season.......
 
I love a lot of our young players and its great to see them begin to gel.  Bright future and I can only hope Stanton stays and we're able to add some decent roleplayer-type vets during the offseason.

I really thought AA  raped the Marlins that deal but damn, lol.

No way.  Reyes is/was at a critical age for his position and banging around turf isn't good for his already shoddy durability.  Josh Johnson and Buerhle can be reliable SP's but we've got younger, much cheapers in our rotation that have outperformed both, all season long.

Every time I see this thread, I think about Blurred Lines.. hey hey hey
