Voting for 2017-18 GM of the Year is now open. Please send your votes to @CameronCrazy06 via PM *ON THIS SITE*. I would encourage anyone who feels they deserve the award to make a case for themselves, and for everybody to wait to hear said cases before casting your vote. The more discussion/debate we get in this thread, the better.

While you can make a case for yourself, you cannot vote for yourself.

Voting will close when the playoffs begin *TOMORROW*. It's a regular season award. Always a chance you could get paid for voting, so you should vote. Just fucking vote.

Past Winners:

2016-17: Cheddar (should've been .inf tbh)
2015-16: GMOTY
2014-15: CameronCrazy06
2013-14: DJT
2012-13: Cheddar
2011-12: .G9
2010-11: daulten780

My campaign is strong and simple - I’m over the Hard Cap and cannot claim the $10 GM cash if you vote for me.

A vote for anyone but myself is a vote to fall $10 behind another GM. It’s simple economics. Vote for me and nobody wins!

My case will be made in the playoffs. Unfortunately, it's a regular season award, so if you vote for me, all I can do is promise you'll look really smart in a few days.

I lost Eric Gordon in free agency and still improved my win total by double digit wins to hit 53 (which would be good for a tie for the 2nd best record in the West, but in my own division its only good enough for the 4th best record). This was in large part thanks to the moves I made over the offseason. Derrick Favors + pick #8 for Ibaka was arguably the most important, but going from picks to Tobias Harris to Lance Stephenson to Brandon Knight to Rudy Gay was a great sequence of trades IMO. Also claimed 6MOY winner Trevor Booker off waivers

This is pretty easily the best case that Ive had for this award since Ive been in this league

I took a 56 win championship team and traded all but two players (Kyrie and Bradley). That included Kevin Durant. I won 6 more games on the season, i set the ppg record (113.2 ppg. Old record was 112.8). Led the league in fg and 3p% also.

Few deserving candidates this year, Pistons, Cavs, Mavs, Nuggs, Lakers, Celtics (hard to vote for though after going over hard cap) to name a few. I'll throw my name in, 58 wins in my first season here, brought in Smith, Gibson, Rondo, Marco, Blazers lotto pick and drafted Bryant.

Wasn't really expecting to win this, thanks to whoever voted for me appreciate it. My vote went to Mentch, thought he did a great job getting to 50+ wins out East with what he had to work with.
