Restricted Free Agents (2012-13)

Restricted free agency means you have the right to match any contract offer for your player, assuming still that you have either the cap space or bird rights to sign the player. The following players are eligible for restricted free agency this offseason:
 
- 2009 Rookie Draft 1st Round Picks (Link) who are coming off the end of their rookie contract (were not previously waived). [NOTE: This also applies to first round foreigners who were drafted earlier than 2009 and are still on their rookie contract.]
- Any player with three or less years of experience (including this year) who has not already signed a qualifying offer before.
 
Please post here if you wish to extend a qualifying offer to any of your players eligible for restricted free agency. Keep in mind that all qualifying offers will have cap holds (130%-150% of current salary for all 2009 first round picks, 125% of current salary for others or the minimum salary +200K). Also keep in mind that if you extend a qualifying offer to a player who doesn't sign in free agency, they will return to you on a one-year contract equal to the qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent the following season. You can renounce the qualifying offer at any time. 
 
These cap holds will be added to your waived salaries until the player has signed. If you have any other questions or need clarification on anything, feel free to ask here.
