This might be the most wide open of a preseason poll in recent memory as their isn't a clear favorite.

Little surprised Bama didn't crack the top 25 out of the gate.

Props to Northwestern for their first preseason AP poll appearance in school history.

Louisville will be college basketball's biggest wildcard this season. Bowen remains suspended from team activities but they were arguable a top 10 caliber team before his signing and Pitino's firing.

Wichita State is #7? Wow. Can't wait for them to lose to a 9 seed in the round of 32.

I disagree that this poll is all that wide open. I think Duke and Michigan state are a pretty clear 1-2. (They won't stay there wire to wire obviously)

Miami has somewhat consistently been a top 25 team since Larranaga took over, yet I'm surprised every single time I see them ranked.

I also just learned that they have two guards that could be lotto picks.

EDIT: one and a fringe guy, I guess
