The Bulls have contacted teams to ask about their interest in trading for Richard Hamilton, sources say, but have found little interest in the 34-year-old shooting guard.

Hamilton is due $5 million next season, with a mere $1 million guarantee for 2013-14.

Hamilton averaged 11.6 points on 45.2 percent shooting last season.

Is moving Rip essential for CAP reasons or no? Otherwise, they should just keep him. Would be a nice piece off the bench. Unless they are moving him because they know he wouldn't like that. That's if they planned to start Lee or Mayo though. Don't see why they wouldn't.

Yes, Rip is making $5 million and the Bulls need all the space they can get to sign someone.

Derrick is gonna miss the majority of next season, why pay a bunch of role players such a high price when you aren't going to compete?

These three are going to be replaced with cheaper options. Hinrich has already taken Watson's spot. Jimmy Butler will fill the role of Ronnie Brewer. They need to add a shooter to replace Korver and another big to take the 10-15 minutes Asik plays a night.

Bulls ended up getting the TPE from Atlanta in the Korver deal.

We could flip that in a S&T for Mayo or Lee. noice

So he was traded to be a rental? Bulls aren't going to get much for him from any team. He would benefit them more if he stays, he moves great without the ball to get open, then he's one of the best at that.

If they don't trade him then they don't have room to sign either of the players Cane mentioned.

OJ Mayo or Courtney Lee > Kyle Korver
