The Os listening and Manny wants to play short.

Yankees interested but no way in hell the Os trade him within the division... or do they?

Machado is going to sign for close to $300 million next year. Will the Yanks pony up the prospects and the cash, or just wait for the bidding war next year?

I see no reason for him to move to SS.  Sure, he was a good SS, but he is an elite defender at 3B and has slowed a couple of steps since he came up.
As to the Yankees trading for him, I don't see it.  They are trying to shed payroll this year, especially after getting Stanton.  Next year, the luxury tax resets if they get below $197MM.

Machado wants to play SS. He’s easily best in the game if he does make the switch and that will justify his monstrous contract demand next offseason.

Yankees, like many teams, won’t deal w/o an extension in place first. The Phillies are said to be interested but again, not interested in parting with much w/o new contract in place.

All I heard past 2 days is the yankees are trying to get under the tax. Getting machado with an extension makes no sense.

I think there's a dark horse team that's going to ultimately land Machado

Red Sox are also contacting the Orioles about Machado. I assume its just as unlikely as the Yankees acquiring him.

I wish the Mets would try and get him, but then I just laugh and slowly die on the inside.

Ha!

Gardner, maybe. Can't see them finding a buyer for Ellsbury.

Eat 50% of the contract and throw in a good prospect, and you never know.

I don't see why teams would throw in a good prospect for him.

DD better do everything in his power to not get Machado for a one year rental AND to not have him go to the Yankees.  If he goes to the Yankees, he'll easily stay there because they can afford him.
