I don't think Kelly should have been fired.

Firing your head coach two years in a row is the true recipe for success.

I'm definitely not Chip's biggest fan but this was an impossible situation for him. The GM who hired him was on his last leg and he had the worst roster in the league. He probably should have taken an OC job or sat out a year, rather than end up in one of the worst HC spots in the league.

He should just go back to college. The NFL isn't built for Chip.

I agree that he's best suited as a coordinator. 49ers in full rebuild mode now

Chip can't coordinate an NFL offense. He can't coach an NFL team. He's a college coach because his system requires perfect pieces to work. He needs to return to where he can recruit said perfect pieces and only then will he have success again.

And he's not a great football coach by any means. If you can't adjust to what you have at your disposal, you're not a great coach. It's a simple as that. He does not belong in the NFL, and his hiring by San Francisco was one of the worst coaching decisions in recent memory.

GTFO, Chip.

I'd be surprised if Chip gets hired to coach another NFL team. He practically dismantled the Eagles, he couldn't get San Fran out of the basement, he's just not fit for the NFL.

I wouldn't hire him either, but I'm not going to fault him for what he wasn't able to do in one year in SF. That was a terrible situation, he shouldn't have even taken that job.
